5. When information may be shared

The categories of service providers that may process information are website hosting, network security, and email delivery. For the initial beta, Netlify provides hosting, delivery, and related security logging, and Namecheap Private Email processes messages sent to the published contact address. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, protect rights and security, or investigate misuse. Contact information is not sold and is not shared with a listed provider or supplier merely because a visitor submits a correction about that entity.

Contact messages and related correspondence are ordinarily kept until the request is resolved and for no more than 24 months after the last substantive activity. Information may be kept longer when reasonably necessary for security, dispute handling, a legal obligation, or an active investigation. When a correction needs a longer editorial record, the public source and decision may be retained without the sender's personal information where practical. Hosting and email providers may retain technical or message data under their own operational settings and policies. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
